SummerActive Staff Wellness Challenge

Ever Active Schools is inviting all Alberta teachers and school staff to a Staff Wellness Challenge.  During SummerActive, use the EAS Activity Tracker to track all of your activity for a chance to win wonderful prizes.

  • 1ST Place:  $500 of equipment and a healthy staff lunch
  • 2nd Place:  $250 of equipment and a healthy staff meeting snack
  • 3rd, 4th & 5th Place:  $100 of equipment
  • Plus a random draw prize from all participants for a Staff Wellness Makeover (1 hour EAS Staff Wellness Workshop at a staff meeting plus a healthy lunch, staff meeting goodies and prizes!).  The more staff from your school that log in – the better your chances are!

Notify info@everactive.org of the number of staff participating and sign up your school staff as a “class” on the tracker. Winning schools will be determined by total minutes divided by number of participants. Contest open to all Alberta schools including current members and associate members.  To become an associate member, visit www.everactive.org/register.aspx and complete the registration form.  Be sure to comment that you are taking part in the SummerActive Challenge.

Alberta Active Living Challenge Day

The Results Are In!
Though much of our province experienced rain on May 22 we still had a fantastic turnout for the Alberta Active Living Challenge Day with 50,915 Albertans registering their participation in at least 30 minutes of physical activity.  This total includes 7157 school students who took part in the Canadian Association for Health Physical Education Recreation and Dance's (CAHPERD) School Challenge “It’s a Toss Up” - based on participating in 30 minutes of throwing activities.

Way To Go Alberta!!!
